The initiative, which was conceived as an Eco Caravan in primary schools in Serbia, started in our school.
The basic idea is that through planting trees, children are brought up in the spirit of preserving nature and greening our homeland.
On Tuesday, November 17, in the presence of numerous volunteers - students from the Faculty of Forestry in Belgrade, in our school yard, third grade students planted thirty-one young trees. Each child gave their tree a name of their choice and a task to take care of it in the coming days, months and years.
At the beginning of the initiative, the students had an ecology workshop with the topic of why it is important to plant trees and keep the air clean.
The creator of the initiative is a student of the Faculty of Forestry, Nikola Popović, otherwise a former student of our school. The action was supported by Prof. Dr. Ratko Ristic, hydrologist and ecologist, Dean of the Faculty of Forestry in Belgrade and Vice Dean of the University of Belgrade.
